Authorities are advising the public to be cautious in order to not disturb the elephants currently in the city until the conclusion of the Dasara festivities. The countdown to Dasara has begun in Mysuru, and the city's renowned Dasara elephants are preparing for the grand Jamboo Savaari procession. This procession, covering a five-kilometer route from the palace to Bannimantap grounds, involves elephants getting accustomed to the noise of city life during repeated morning and evening exercises. Spectators gather, particularly on weekends, to witness the procession led by the Howdah elephant, Abhimanyu, and take photographs. To ensure the elephants are comfortable, guidelines have been issued:

- Follow instructions from mahouts and Kavadis.

- Maintain a safe distance for elephants to move freely.

- Refrain from crossing the road in front of elephants.

- Avoid taking pictures or videos in their path.

- Do not honk, as it may unsettle the elephants.

- Hand over flowers to mahouts instead of throwing directly at the elephants.

- Avoid feeding the elephants directly.

- Do not follow the elephants.

The Jamboo Savaari is the elaborate procession held on Vijayadashami, the final day of the Dasara festival. It features adorned elephants, colorful floats, and cultural performances.
